SCOPE

This Privacy Notice applies to personal information processed by Active Theory, LLC (“Active Theory,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) in the course of our business, including on our website and related online and offline offerings. To make this Privacy Notice easier to read, our website and related offerings are collectively called the “Services.”

An Important Note: This Privacy Notice does not apply to any of the personal information that Active Theory processes on behalf of its customers (“Customer Data”). Our customers are responsible for providing the appropriate notice to and obtaining any required authorizations from individuals for the processing of Customer Data. Our customers’ respective privacy policies govern the collection and use of Customer Data. Active Theory’s processing of Customer Data is governed by the contract it has with its customer.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The categories of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us, use our Services, and the requirements of applicable law.

Personal Information You Provide to Us

Your Communications Data. We collect personal information from you such as your email address, phone number, or mailing address when you communicate with us, such as when you request information about our Services, register for our newsletter, request customer or technical support, or otherwise communicate with us. Some of this information is required.  If you do not provide us with this information, you will not be able to communicate with us.

Survey Data.  We may contact you to participate in surveys.  If you decide to participate, you may be asked to provide certain information which may include personal information.

AI ChatbotAs part of the Services, we make available a chatbot powered artificial intelligence to communicate with customers and visitors to our site (“AI Chatbot”).  Click here to read more about how we and our service providers (including OpenAI) collect and use information in connection with the AI Chatbot. If you contact us through a chat feature we offer on our site, we may monitor and retain those chat communications and store them with our service provider.

Interactive Features. We may offer interactive features such as our AI Chatbot, review forums, blogs, and social media pages and we may collect the associated metadata from such interactive features (such as when, where and by whom the content was created). We and others who use our Services may collect the information you submit or make available through these interactive features. Any content you provide on the public sections of these features will be considered “public” and is not subject to the privacy protections referenced herein. By using these interactive features, you assume the risk that the personal information provided by you may be viewed and used by third parties for their own purposes.

Event Data. We may attend conferences, trade shows, and other events where we collect personal information from individuals who interact with or express an interest in Active Theory and/or the Services. If you provide us with any information at one of these events, we will use it for the purposes for which it was collected.

Business Development Data. We may collect personal information from individuals and third parties to assess and pursue potential business opportunities.

Job Applicant Data. We may post job openings and opportunities on the Services. If you reply to one of these postings by submitting your application, CV and/or cover letter to us, we will collect and process the information contained therein to assess your suitability, aptitude, skills, and qualifications for employment with Active Theory. You may also choose to, but are not required to, provide your gender, ethnicity, veteran status, disability status and links to your website, blog, portfolio or LinkedIn profile as part of your job application.

Personal Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Services, we automatically collect personal information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your browsing actions and use patterns, such as:

Device Data . This includes technical data collected from your devices (including mobile devices) that you use the Services with.  This information may include your Internet protocol (IP) address, user settings, MAC address, cookie identifiers, mobile advertising and other unique online identifiers, details about your browser, operating system or device, your general location information (including inferred location based off of  your IP address), Internet service provider, and mobile carrier.

Usage Data: This includes information collected and processed about you when you are accessing or using our Services, such as your actions with the Services, including dates, time, pages that you visit before, during and after using the Services, information about the links you click, information about how you interact with the Services, including the frequency and duration of your activities, and other information about how you use the Services.

We may collect this information through our Services or with the help of technologies, such as cookies and other similar tracking technologies.
