Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Creative Lead / Creative Director to join us on a freelance basis to focus on large-scale projects. This role offers the potential to transition into a full-time position with more responsibility (e.g people management) if the collaboration proves to be a great fit for both parties after working together.
We will accept applications from candidates in any location; however, this role will require working hours that accommodate PT and ET clients in the US.
Job Description
As the Creative Lead / Creative Director at Active Theory, you will guide and inspire teams to deliver high-quality, visually stunning experiences. You will push the boundaries of what's possible, leading projects from conception through execution, ensuring that every detail aligns with our commitment to excellence. Your role is both visionary and hands-on, fostering a culture of innovation while maintaining the highest creative standards for us and our clients.
Responsibilities
- Act as the creative lead for major clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their brand and vision.
- Be the primary source of knowledge regarding their brand identity and values.
- Conceptualize, design, present, and effectively communicate our vision to senior client stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of long-lasting client relationships by building trust in our creative and design delivery.
- Delegate tasks to and manage other creative contributors on the project, ensuring that all team members are aligned with the project’s goals and creative vision.
- Champion and monitor consistency and attention to detail across all creative and design efforts within the team.
- Lead projects, teams, and client engagements with confidence and autonomy.
- Serve as the go-to leadership support within the creative team.
- Balance project needs by aligning creative vision and technical approaches with budget constraints and timelines, ensuring that high-quality outcomes are delivered efficiently and within scope.
Requirements
- Desired 7+ years of experience in digital production within a digital or creative agency.
- Proven experience leading large-scale projects autonomously.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet performance metrics from both internal and client perspectives.
- Comprehensive experience in managing WebGL and other highly interactive projects.
- Solid understanding of creative software, including Figma, After Effects, and C4D, as well as a basic grasp of web programming.
